Two winning scripts of Ukrainian National Short Film Script Contest "Tandem" are elected!
Art formation Wiz-Art and French Association Cine Fac (Paris) congratulate the winners of the Script Contest “Tandem”.
They are fiction film "Fox is Slinking" by Andriy Zlanich (Kirovograd) and the animated film "The Life of Birds" by Maxym Mylenko (Kyiv).
The contest is aimed to share experience and develop Ukrainian cinema.

ilm directors and screenwriters will be provided with production support of Wiz-Art and Cine Fac.
The jury consisted of Igor Minaev, Lubomyr Hoseyko, Anatoliy Lavrenishyn, Bogdana Smirnova, Nataliya Ilchuk and Mariia Baraz chose 10 finalists' applications, with the authors of which video interviews were conducted, after that two winners were selected. A total of 70 applications were received, 58 of which – fiction films and 13 – animated films.
12 scenarios were not accepted into competition for a reason of disregarding basic requirements of contest rule and regulations.

Animation "The Life of Birds." The film is based on the conflict and struggle between two elements – reviving beauty of nature and gray and devastating city.
Maxym Mylenko was born in Kiev in 1988. He graduated from Kyiv National I.K. Karpenko-Kary Institute of Screen Arts, specialization "director of animated films." He is already an author of four animated works, which took part in many international festivals. Now he is working as an independent illustrator, director and animator.

Fiction film "Fox is slinking". Ill-fated or happy coincidence has occurred to the famous French writer in “Boryspil aiport”?
Andriy Zlanich was born in 1982, lives in Kirovograd. He graduated from university majoring in psychology and philology. Prizewinner of "Koronatsiya slova" 2008 with a scenario "Citizens of Kharkiv and guests of the city"
Under conditions of the Contest projects should be completed by May 2012.
Two French professionals will be involved in the process of creating films and share their experience with Ukrainian directors.
Both of the films will be shown at the VIII Festival Nouveaux Cinémas in Paris and V International Festival of Short Films Wiz-Art in Lviv.
