After three years of constant parties (synthpop, electroclash, nu rave, disco punk, witch house etc) we didn’t change at all in means of musical feeling and tried to give you the most actual sound that can rarely be heard in Lviv. This time it’s base, because it gathers the largest number of listeners on alternative electronic stage and most of the interesting events and releases take place reight there.
It has been minimum a year since the entire world switched from electro-/nu rave sound, that, unfortunately, evolved into some kind of parody wobble-bass into a calmer bass/house sound. Hip-hop got new wind thanks to the huge amount of new young producers and house and funky music is now often mxed with it. For the last year the world succeeded in shifting from extremely slow narcotic screwed’n’chopped and witch-house to unbelievably fast dancing juke and footwork,that came out of the American ghettos and spread all over the world at a moment’s to burry dubstep and revive the classic house and garage. And we in turn will try to recollect it and mix all these styles with something new.

THE CANCEL (Kickit, Morshyn)
Instrumental hip hop duo The Cancel is the fruit of a collaboration between two Ukrainian musicians with a common passion for jazz music and old vinyls. Their music finds its roots in the works of jazz maestros such as John Coltrane that passed through the filter of modern electronica-influenced hip hop (think Ninja Tune or Stones Throw). After a very well received debut LP released in 2011, The Cancel came back with Reply From Space, a very strong second offering for the young duo. With its effortless combination of live drums, samples and layered synths, their sound is a delicious collection of low-key instrumental pieces that blurs the borders between jazz, electronica and hip hop.
KOLOAH (Kievbass/Hyperboloid/Cut, Kyiv). 
Probably, the best ukrainian bass-producer nowadays. He is one of those musicians, that are popular here, in Ukraine, as well all around the world. Memeber of Kyiv-based music formation Kievbass, that set records of foreign music guests at their parties (Girl Unit, Munchi, Baobinga, High Rankin, Roska, Phaeleh, Pinch - and this is not the whole list!), where Koloah (sometimes aka Crim) always played. His sounds evolutioned from dubstep to uk funky, garage, juke/footwork and many others styles of modern bass music. His releases are always accompanied with success, and his tracks are in sets of many djs all around the world.

DUBDELIGHT (Kievbass/Outape, Odesa).
One more young and talented ukrainian bass-producer, whose sound includes, maybe, all styles of modern bass music. It’s a common situation, that his releases in Ukraine and Russia appeared at many parties a few days before official release date. No doubt, that he is the future of ukrainian bass scene, that is known in the USA, but not known enough, here, in Ukraine.

FLASHY/PIERRE/LSTN (Zavtra, Lviv) 
Already known crew of djs/bloggers from Lviv-based music/lifestyle web-portal zavtra.fm, that always start their day from a cup of coffee and monitoring all news, coming form all interesting music places of the world. For the first time in Lviv juke and footwork music started to play in their sets. Their sounds usually are between bass and electro music.
The party begins on july 28 at 23:00, almost immediately after the last screening of the saturday Festival program. Price of the tickets: 40 and 50 hrn (if you make up your mind on going to the party the very day of it). The party itself will take place at the slightly forgotten d’n’b stage of the METRO club (14 Zelena str.). We are looking forward to this party because who knows when ffor the next time will Ukrainian bass of such level come to visit us!
